It's been so so so long since i last entered this empty space.

I'm into my 1st month of internship that would last for half a year.

After struggling for so long, it's only a month that has passed. 5 more months to go!

Many has been asking what i'm doing for internship. Well, I'm actually with RWS, doing park services.

Yeap. I used to joke around when people ask me, saying that I'm going there to sweep popcorns.

It really came true!

I guess, sometimes, it's better not to say something bad. IT COMES TRUE!

Well well, it's something that nobody can change. I can only learn to accept and adapt. I'm still trying to learn.

But after the past 1 month, i've learnt something really valuable. One should always be humble and do not belittle anybody nor any occupation. Some things, you can't see or understand until you really try.

I guess, it's only when you experience it, you'll know, learn and grow :D

It's really not the experience nor the knowledge that i've gained from internship, it's the moral values that I've earned.

I'm still learning.. Gimme a little more time.. :)

Decided to bring LeLe to K9 kulture to celebrate her birthday with Sis on Wednesday.

It was a super last minute decision.

Only realised that it was her birthday on that day itself, tell sis , google google, and decided on k9.

Went home after lesson, go Yew Tee to buy party hats for her, head home, got changed and prepared.

And off we go!

No cabs so we ran into turf city and this ~~stupid~~ silly dog refused to put her head into the bag! And so, with her body in the bag and her head out of it, she literally became a luo tang gou!

LOL!

When i was drying her head with the hand dryer in the toilet, she doesn't wanto lift her head out of the bag! >.<

It was a nice experience.. To be able to bring your dog out with you, w/o leaving her at home by herself (Y)

8 Weeks of holiday just flew past me.

Third day of school today, and i think i still hasn't adapt to school, classmates and most importantly, the time.

I've been a night owl during the holidays. Can't wake up in the mornings now. :(

I must really learn how to control my spendings and to save.

Have been working for at least 4 weeks during the 2 months but i don't see my bank balance figures rising.

Or should i sign up for a fixed savings account to force me to save?

Have to stop impulsive buyings.

I want more holidays! I wanto have more fun! More ~~shopping~~ rest!

Has been really busy since the start of the 3 weeks YOG holiday with the various roadshows. Had been working non-stop starting from Megatex for 11 consecutive days.

Day 8 Last Day

I've forgotten the minor details of what we've done on the last day after 2 weeks. I can recall some of them with the help of the photos :p

The driver came over to fetched us as promised and off we went to do some last minute sight seeings that we've missed the previous days..

Visited the second highest volcano in Bali.It looked like a piece of painting rather than a real one. Cooling too!!~

Nothing much for the day..

Went for Massage and Manicure. Felt sooo insecure during the massage and spice bath. Cos the location of the massage is quite... erm. should i say it's open? It does not have proper doors. Only curtains and because it was raining, curtains swifts around. when somebody walked past, they have a high possibility of seeing u naked or soaking in the bathtub!

Manicure was quite horrendous. My nails are out of shape now and even i can do a better job in painting the nails! But she's nice. :D so okay lah. I shall be angelic! :)

But other than that, we're very satisfied with the choice of this hotel.. surroundings, ticked.service, ticked. I would say the most valuable asset that Bali spirit has is its staffs! :D

Daddie Mummie went for the romantic dinner, left me in the room with the choice of either the cupnoodles or room service. Had cupnoodles and watched drama since the internet connection was very low just now.. And halfway through the drama, the electricity went off! No lights!! Was a little scary but luckily, it came back the next minute. When i'm falling asleep, a really loud pecking sound woke me up. SCARYYYYYYYYY!!~ (The pecking sound was heard again when they came back. Daddie said it was a species of frogs.)

Bali Day 6

Went out to the central Ubud for the famous Bu oka's Babi Guling (suckling pig).

It only operates from 8am-3pm cos business is really good!

So, here we are in Bali, how issit possible to miss that?!

We reached there at 1pm, and it's really quite crowded but still, we managed to get a seat..

The meat is very saltish and also, the skin is quite hard. I had to even give up chewing a piece when one plate has only one skin. Daddie gave me his.

Overall, I would think that it tasted quite alright only. Won't recommend it if u have to queue up for half an hour (which alot of ppl did, but we were lucky) just to get a seat. It's not something that you die-hard-must-eat.

Reached the hotel had the massage, manicure session, candlelight dinner (Daddie and mummie) booked for tml after walking and waiting for the next shuttle bus which was 2 hours later..

Sadly, there's nothing much to buy. Almost every stallssells the same things. But the prices really varies..

Think we'll be staying in the hotel for today. Nothing much in Ubud. More of a paddifields place.

More sightseeings on the last day, Tuesday before taking the plane back to Singapore! :D

Bali Day 5

Shifted to the Ubud, Bali Spirit hotel today after staying in Sanur, Puri Dalem for 4 nights.

A very nice hotel resort!

It's very very very huge that they even need a luggage car (as in a real car that u see on the road, not those bellboy's car)!

Nice environment with big and cosy rooms. Just that it's abit wrong to come with parents. Good for honeymoon!

But the only down side is that rooms have quite a low connection of the internet. Have to go to the pavilion downstairs, ants around your room and because it's a open- air concept bathroom with stone flooring, so the bathroom's floor will always be wet.

But! (fingers crossed) i'm lucky cos my room's quite near to the pavilion so i can use my laptop in room!

Heard from a taxi driver that out of Kuta's whole population, 75% of them are immigrants.. so if we wanto see how Balinese people really lives, we have to come to Ubud.

And our 2nd hotel lies in Ubud!

This place is surrounded with markets and paddi fields..

Went to the Ubud market after dumping our stuff in the room..

The stalls have similar products!

And you can actually bargin for more than 50%!

Didn't believe it at first when i heard from the driver. But i tried once and it worked!

I bought a necklace (Pendant+ string) at 75,000 rupiah (S$12.50) when the quoting price of the pendant only is 150,000 rupiah (S$25!!).

What a bargain right? :D

Went for dinner and work around. Again,nothing much to buy.

But we went to several art galleries.

Down here, their art galleries are their homes too..

So was a lil' reluctant to go into galleries.

Spa and massage tml i think. Really need to replenish energy. Drained out.

Now u get the idea of how big the hotel is :D

Bali Day 4

Too tired and warm to go for any sight seeing.

Mummie and I went out to hunt for a salon but the taxi driver dropped us off at some ulu ulu shopping centres..

So, we went shopping instead. Bought a luggage worth of bubblegums, chocolates and coffee powders as gifts cos there's simply nothing to get here!

Quickly took a taxi back, our heart pumps harder each time the amount shown on the meter increases , cos it increases every minute!

We don't wanto end up paying S$160 which my sis's friend did!

But ended up, we only spent half of what we did by taking the hotel's taxi.

For those who happens to come across my plurk, you may know that we went to the Kuta night market, one of the places that i wanted to go very much..

I thought it would be something like Taiwan's night market, with lots of stalls, selling bbq seafood.

was sooooo excited in going!!

But all i find there is 7 food stalls, selling seafood in plates, not bbqed!!..

In total, we spent S$10 to reach there, S$15 on small plates of squids, beef, chicken, Kangkong, frog legs, prawns and spent another S$16 back to the shopping ctr.

So, we spent more getting there than eating!

Bali Day 3

Just came back from Jimbaran, blue ocean seafood restaurant.

Had a small seafood feast just now.. Crabs, prawns & fish..

The seafood are not as fresh as what we've thought.

Hmm. Or should i say all of them except crabs are not fresh at all?

It's bloody not worth it!

But the sunset is fabulous.

A pity that we reached there early and finished our seafood before sunset.

We only shifted out to the beach after we finished our food.

Niceeeeee!

It's soooooo romantic!!

Anyway, before we went to Jimbaran, we had our fill of fun and sight seeing.

Places that we went to today:

- Bali's famous coffee

- Tanjung Benoa for glass boat ride & turtle island visiting

- GWK cultural park, where the world's highest statue is.

- Pura Uluwatu ; A temple that's built on the cliff of the mountain. The scenery there is
simply breathtaking!!! Too bad, we didn't go there during sunset!

- Dreamland; Beach

- Jimbaran; seafood and sunset

Bali Day 2

So here i am in Bali, using the wifi that's provided by the hotel i'm staying in.

After staying here for a day, i can conclude that Bali's not at all like what i've imagined.

I've always thought that Bali is a very romantic place, with people sitting on the ground during sunset, painting.

But no leh. It's not at all like at all.

Bali is actually a very touristy place.

We hired the taxi driver cum tour guide from the hotel for half a day,today and said we wanto go shopping and do some sight seeing- painting.

Ended up, we went to see paintings, batik paintings, woodcurves, Silver & shopping.

All except the batik paintings are shops!!!

Those made ones that u can buy! Not looking at, visiting the process of how they make the products!

Sighh. Ultra disappointed.

:(

But anyway, i still managed to grasp abit of how people staying here lives.

And it's only the second day! I'm sure there'll be more good stuff!!

Advance celebration

Had an advance celebration with the clique over at Yuki Yaki on the 25th.

Samantha.Xiang Gan. Renice. Tim. Alvin. Yuting.

The initial plan was to try their teppanyaki ice cream but in the end due to time constrain, we skipped that.

There's quite a large variety of food to choose from but the reviews were that it's not really nice or special.

But it's not about the food but the company right? :)

Right now, Sam and I are stuck with the statics booth for Rp's open house.

People who came to our booth to collect the CSM badge have "dian-ed" one another.

LOL.

They have to hold on to the static generator with one hand and touch the next person with another finger.

They will then feel the static.

everybody who tried jumped and screamed!

LOL!

Had fun laughing at them.
